Summary:
As the Maintenance Assistant, you will work with our Maintenance Director to maintain and improve the upkeep of our building, both inside and outside.
Job Responsibilities/Essential Tasks:
Ensure that maintenance schedules are followed as outlined for respective shift or area.
Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisor no matter how minor they maybe.
Maintain general plant and facility in good repair, ensuring a safe, clean, and orderly environment.
Ensures that all fire hazard sources (i.
e.
cleaning chemicals, broken outlets, space-heaters, lighters, etc.
) are reported and maintained in the appropriate manner.
Ongoing review of all regulations, standards and manufacturer's instructions of fire protection systems and other facility equipment.
Receive and follow maintenance schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established maintenance policies and procedures.
Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc.
, by cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping, etc.
, as necessary/directed.
Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc.
, as directed, in accordance with established procedures.
Clean windows and screens as directed.
Replace burned out light bulbs, exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, room call lights, etc, and perform cleaning duties wherever necessary.
Service heating and cooling units/system, as specified by the manufacture, and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
Perform unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed.
Ensure infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures are being performed to maintain a sanitary environment at all times.
Ensure that the facility and its equipment in properly maintained for resident comfort and convenience.
Report all unsafe/hazardous conditions, defective equipment, etc.
to your supervisor.
Assist others in lifting heavy equipment, supplies, etc.
as directed or requested.
Maintains strong working relationships with other staff members throughout the facility.
Maintains confidentiality of all resident and company information.
Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
Perform other duties that may be assigned.

We are professional, agile and our goal is to be the best mental health and behavioral facility in Northeastern Ohio.
We are looking for a Maintenance Assistant to help support our team with a wide variety of maintenance tasks.
The ideal candidate for this position has experience with electrical and plumbing repairs, will be able to address minor issues when necessary and is capable of working independently and following company procedures.
The successful candidate will work well with the rest of the team and have knowledge of computer hardware as well as experience using tools such as screwdrivers, power saws, pliers and other necessary equipment.
